What does it mean if someone says "you are the worst"?
I was listening to a Planet Money podcast episode today and one of the hosts said to the other ,"you are the worst". He said it in a playful way, so I know he didn't actually mean it literally, but what does it mean and when do you say it?
It's a little difficult to give the exact context but here is a link to that episode. He says that at around 3:20

People say it jokingly like "I accidentally knocked over my neighbors trash can with my car today!" "You are the worst!"
It means like, "you are bad" or "you are a trouble maker" but not in a rude way.
