We say 'pour liquid ' and what verb is used with food ? pour food or other ?

Usually we say "serve food" like "he served me a plate of ___ " or sometimes its "make a plate of food" like "he made me a plate of ____".
Other wise you say "put food" like "he put ___ on my plate"

"Spill" is the correct verb for both food and beverages if it's an accident. "I poured tea over him" is very deliberate.
