两个单词都是有修改的意思,I want you to amend you papers,and attached reviseed paper for your information,在什么情况下用amend?什么情况下用revise?

'Amend' is to make a change
'Revise' is to improve and update.

Amend is a more used as a legal terminology, it in general refers to adding something to a document, it's not only correcting it. If you amend something you added something to the document.
Revising a doc could be in order to look for some problems and then change it.

amend
to change the words of a text, especially a Law or a Legal document
Example:
MPs were urged to amend the law to prevent another oil tanker disaster.
revise
to look at or consider again an idea, piece of writing, etc. in order to correct or improve it
Example
His helpfulness today has made me revise my original opinion/impression of him.
His publishers made him revise his manuscript three times.

"Amending" is to make changes to improve the content of your paper, it also can mean to add to something. "Revise" is to fix or correct something about your paper. They are very similar words. I think they want you to correct any mistakes and attach the revised copy of your paper.
