I went running, esta es la forma correcta???, si escribo asi Iwent to run, esta mal???
Otro ejemplo: He went dancing or He went to dance
Pueden explicarme esto??

algunas veces no es lo mismo, aunque en este caso es simplemente por cuestiones de uso, pero por si las moscas mira este ejemplo: i stopped to smoke = yo dejé, (paré) de fumar, i stopped smoking = yo paré para fumar (me detuve para fumar) sigue esta reglilla y te saldrá bien.
