likely or probably?
Could you tell me the difference between likely and probable?
And how is correct:
They said it is likely/ probably to rain tomorrow.

"It is likely to rain tomorrow."
"It will probably rain tomorrow."
Likely is an adjective, and probably is an adverb. In English, we never say, "It is probably to rain." The phrase is simply wrong.
