It means that the next day is just a few hours away. In my country it's 8PM, so in four hours, it will be tomorrow.

to be honest I haven't heard this expression before. I guess you have to take the meaning literally. Let's say that you are looking forward to an event, either tomorrow or in a few days. This expression will tell you that you won't have to wait for long, because tomorrow is just a day away!
