What is the diference between the french words prendre and emporter?
Hi
Can someone please explain to me the difference between the French words prendre and emporter and also explain how and when to use each of them.
Any help given would be very much appreciated

Prendre means you take it, while emporter means you bring it.
Emporter = take something with you but you move somewhere else with this the object
Prendre = just the action to take it. Like when you take the taxi, in french you say "je prend le taxi". Prendre can also be used when you talk about directions.
