Is there a pronunciation difference between 'muda' and 'mudah', 'kota' and 'kotak'
or 'hutan' and 'hutang'?

Febri's right - there's a huge difference between "wanita muda" and "wanita mudah"! :)
The other pairs are definitely different. Even to me as a native English speaker, it's obvious that "hutan" and "hutang" have different pronunciations.
