I don't quite understand. It seems perfectly straightforward and the answer is "yes." To "travel across a continent" to me implies flying from one end to the other. In the United States, flying from New York to Los Angeles is "traveling across a continent" and it takes about six hours. The distance across Asia might be a bit more than the distance from Seoul to Moscow, maybe 7,000 km. and there seem to be commercial flights that take less than ten hours. Of course, the astronauts in the International Space Station travel across continents in minutes.
