I love green apple.
• 私は青りんごが大好きです
• Watashi wa ao-ringo ga suki desu
*青 means blue but in this case, it can use to describe green apples. While the kanji "緑" means green, we do not use 緑りんご. Although it's still understandable, most of Japanese people says "Ao-ringo" instead of Midori-Ringo. However this rule does not apply to certain things of this due to the broad meaning 青い(Ao) can refers to.
I have a green color watch.

• Kare wa [Midori-iro-no/Aoi] baggu wo kaimashita
I have eaten green color candy.

• Watashi wa [Midori-iro-no/Aoi] ame wo tabeta koto ga arimasu
