Do male native English speakers call other guys 'my dear'?

no . in fact it is not used by either men or women to refer to anyone, and could sometimes be considered condescending.

Im not a native speaker but i sure dont . Dont think they say that in England as well , unless you want to sound gay .

DO NOT CALL ANOTHER MAN "MY DEAR"! hehe you would say it to a girlfriend or wife. In England it depends where you live but it's not uncommon for men to refer to women (or women to refer to men and women) as "love" "dear" "sweetheart" (southeast England) "duck" (north England) "my lover" (southwest England) if you want a friendly English nickname for a male friend it's not uncommon to say "mate"

Agree with the above. Men do use endearing words with each other but this varies by country, and nowhere do we say "my dear". For me, I would say things like "my friend", or in very casual settings would call them "man" or "buddy". Sometimes "dude" but very rarely, and usually in a joking way.
