already + past tense
Can I use the word "already" in a past tense sentence.
I submit the report already.
Or other tense, is the sentence "the light is on already" wrong? Please help.

You would use it with present perfect or past perfect:
I've already submitted the report.
I'd already submitted the report.
For your other sentence, use "The light is already on."

Also in America "I submitted the report already. / I already submitted the report." are correct, it depends on context. But submit must be in past tense.
