when should i use می باشد, why not use هست here? Dear Friends, i have been studying commercial&offical; writing lately, and i found the way of writing is very difficult to understand and sometimes it makes no sense grammatically to me, for example i encountered this می باشد a lot: به استحضار می رساند که کالا امروز بسته بندی شده و آماده ی حمل می باسد به استحضار می رساند که این بنگاه به پارچه های پشمی به رنگ های آبی و خاکستری علاقمند می باشر i haven't seen anything like می باشد in grammar learning, but i've seen "bashad" “dashte bashad" etc, so when should i use می باشد, why not use هست here? thanks for your attention and kind help in advance!

"mibashad" sounds formal to me. I do not use it for informal conversation! but in business letters (or even you may hear it in news), we use "mibashad" rather than "ast" or "hast" like مسافرین محترم، قطار آماده حرکت میباشد. مسافرین محترم، قطار آماده حرکت است they both have the same meaning to me, only the first one is formal and the latter one is informal

It is recommended to *always* use «است» instead of «می‌باشد», and use «هست» only if you need to add emphasis.

I think just because of formal ,scientific writing. می باشد means استbut in formal texts is used می باشد.

the meaning of both می باشدand است is the same and both of them are formal too. You can say:به استحضار می رساند که کالا امروز بسته بندی شده و آماده ی حمل است and به استحضار می رساند که این بنگاه به پارچه های پشمی به رنگ های آبی و خاکستری علاقمند است but we often prefer to use می باشد in commercial and official letters, also you can find است in literary texts and poems i.e. دریغ است ایران که ویران شود or گفت این پیراهن است افسار نیست
