Which sentence is the correct? Sorry being late or sorry be late. Many times i've been late and I every time it happens this question comes up in my mind. It looks so simple but I don't have idea what to say.

In my opinion, I think it would be better for you to say "Sorry I'm late" or "Sorry for being late".

"Sorry for being late" or you can also say "I'm sorry I'm late"
