mi piace /mi piacciono "Mi piace leggere, mi piace ascoltare musica e mi piacciono i gatti." Is it correct to write "Mi piace la lettura, mi piace la musica e mi piacciono i gatti"? As far as I know, mi piace is used before the verb and a singular noun, and mi piacciono is used before plural nouns. Are there any other differences between them?

"Mi piace la lettura, mi piace la musica e mi piacciono i gatti" It's correct. If you don't want to repeat "mi piace", you can also write " mi piacciono i gatti e la musica", using the conjunction "e" between them.

well done! if you like (se ti piace) only one thing (solo una cosa) you have to write (devi scrivere) "mi piace", if you like more than one (se ti piace più di una) you have to write (devi scrivere) "mi piacciono". A clue (un aiuto): think carefully how many things you like(pensa attentamente a quante cose ti piacciono) ;) p.s.:in brackets there is italian translation for your practice
