I am just a beginner in learning Japanese. I have a question about 勉強します and 習います. What is the difference between those two terms? They are the same when translated into Chinese. Thank you in advance.

i think the difference is that, when using naraimasu, there has to be someone teaching it to you. E.g.: Sensei ni naratte moraimasu...
On the other hand, benkyoushimasu is more used oftenly and can be used in situations when you learn something by yourself, together with a friend, etc..

''勉強します '' means that you spent some times to study something which you hate.
English for next exam.
Japanese culture for next traveling to Japan.
