whats is the difference between Azuma (東) and Higashi (東)
its not kun and on pronunciations those are as follows
Kun: ひがし
On: トウ
Which is the proper one to use when saying "I want to go east"

Azuma is also Kun'yomi.

ひがし is correct. I often hear あずま as Japanese surname.

I use ひがし for East! At least that's what I learned from my textbook!
