"How can I not be sad" in korean?
someone said to me "슬퍼하지마" , so how do I answer in hangul if i wanna say "How can I not be sad?"

"How can I not be sad?"
=> 어떻게 슬퍼하지 않을 수 있어? / 어떻게 슬프지 않을 수 있어?
(Both are commonly used with a slightly different nuance)
- 어떻게: how
- 슬프지 않다: not sad. -지 않다 is the negation form (가지 않다 = not go).
- 슬퍼하지 않다: not feel sad. 슬퍼하다 sounds more active than 슬프다.
- ~(ㄹ/을) 수 있다: can; is able to. 할 수 있다 = can do; 먹을 수 있다 = can eat.

어떻게 안 슬퍼해? 어떻게 안 슬플 수 있겠어? : In fact they are wrong sentences according to Korean spelling system, but we usually say them in casual conversation.
