"Gerunds" and "Infinitives" How should I use them.

This question is not very clear but generally when you have 2 verbs together the form of the second verb depends on the first. Some verbs are followed by the bare infinitive and some are followed by the gerund.
Generally (not always!) 'to' is followed by an infinitive and other prepositions are followed by a gerund.
