the word "melli" in Moroccan Arabic
I have read that the word melli means منذ in الدارجة المغربية , can somebody use it in a sentence for me and give me an idea how it might be spelled in Arabic letters? Would it be like the word for financial? thx.

This word is used here in Algeria as well as in Morocco, indeed it means "since"
I think you can write it ملّي
Example ملّي كانت عندي 20 عام ) "منذ أن كنت في العشرين من عمري )

It means "since", but it also means "when"
Example: call me when you're free/ I was shocked when I heard the news...
P.S: It means "when" yeah, but not "when" we use to ask a question.
is it understood?

I can use it in a sentence in Tunisian Arabic and I believe it has the same meaning.
ملي مشيت للدار وانت راقد
You have been sleeping since you went home
Hope this helps, if not feel free to message me.
