Yes, "dedicarse" is a reflexive verb: to dedicate oneself. Ella se dedicó a la causa de paz.
However, "dedicar" (not used reflexively) means to direct something as in: Yo dediqué mi libro a mis padres.
Both are used exactly as in English.

Yeah,dedicarse is reflexible.(to oneself)
Otro ejemplo de verbo reflexiblo es por ejemplo:peinar (peinarse a si mismo)
Other example of reflexible verb is for example:brush (to one self)
