¿En qué se diferencian los adjetivos "combatiente" y "combativo,-a" entre sí?

Basándome en las definiciones de WordReference...
Combatiente sería algo como un luchador o guerrero. Alguien o algo que está precisamente en batalla (combatiendo). Y Combativo sería como la actitud de una persona que le gusta luchar o trabajar duro.
