What's the meaning of "nelle prime ore del mattino"?
What's the meaning of "nelle prime ore del mattino"? Does it mean "earlier in the morning" or just "in the morning"? and what's the difference between "mattino" and "mattina"? why not use "della mattina"?

"Nelle prime ore del mattino" intende le ore che vanno dall' alba alle 10:00 am circa.. Mattino e mattina sono equivalenti, ma in quest' espressione suona molto meglio "del mattino". Dipende dall' espressione, allo stesso modo di "Domani mattina", che suonerebbe scorretto se fosse "Domani mattino".
