What does gomen oshietekurete arigatou mean? umm i'd like to now when you use it too..!

gomen oshiete kurete arigatou (ごめん、教えてくれてありがとう) I'm sorry, and thank you for telling me. The situation may be... You are bothering somebody without knowing. The person tells you it. Then you can say the phrase.
