この報告(論文)では、日本の新年を迎える慣習(正月)について紹介する。正月(お正月)は日本において最も大切とされる休日である。特に1月1日から3日の間は、ほとんどの仕事は休業となり、多くの人々は家族とともに過ごす。
お正月は、すべての会社、工場、店舗が終日休業となるとても重要なものである。
Because this paragraph starts from "in this paper", I translated it formally.
And from a logical point of view (because this is a paper), the last sentence seems not to be necessary, since already you say "Most businesses shut down...".
I feel it redundant.
日本で新年を迎えることはとても幸せなことです。いつか私も愛する人と日本で新年を迎えたいです。
