with every step or with each step ? what is correct? why?

I think both of them are correct. I guess you just want to know how different between every and each though? let me tell you with the cooking for boiled egg. each step should be like this. step 1 make hot water. step 2 put an egg into the hot water. step 3 boil it for 10 minutes. which means that each is talking about every single 3 steps individually. But now, every step is talking about all steps from 1 to 3 like a recipe.
