What does "go ass over" mean?
I come across this phrase when play a game. Here is the context:
M: Why would there be a fence out here?
W: Oh, because sometimes hikers go ass over teakettle when on a trail.
So what does "go ass over" mean?

It means to fall over. Similar idioms are "to fall head over heels" "arse over tit" and "base over apex".

For your enlightenment here is another one that means the same thing: " Ass over appetite"
All of these mean a rolling motion, that's why the word 'over' is used.
