Is "I am waiting for someone" to japanese correct? For example if I am approached by a person. I would like to say in Japanese "I am waiting for someone" is 私は誰かを待っています the correct way to say it ?

私は誰かを待っています is literal translation and hard. I suggest 人と待ち合わせをしています.
