usage of ~てもいいです、~てはいけません。
I know that these are used when you are giving permission. But are they also used when asking for permission?
If yes, then can you give an example , like : May I hold your baggage?

When you ask for permission, Japanese people use like this 'てもいいですか' , 'てはいけませんか'
For example 窓を開けてもいいですか。
