What is the difference between 무슨 말이야 and 술이야?
Both phrases are often translated as "What did you say," but I couldn't find the root word of 술이야. Is it 술다? If it is, what does it mean?

I think you wanted to write '무슨소리야?' instead of '술이야?'.
무슨 말이야? and '무슨 소리야?' mean 'What did you say?' in English.
*'술이야?' means 'Is this alchohol?' @_@..
