Question about Russian saying:
What does this saying mean? It seems to me like it means: "If you are afraid of wolves, don't go into the forest."
But I also read that it could mean something like: "Even if what you have to do is hard, you must complete it."

The both versions are correct. If you don't want (or can't) to do smth you can say: "Волков бояться...". But if you want to do smth you say: "Oh, come on, I'll do it!!!

Everytime someone asks a question in Russian or in Arabic, I feel like I have started to read it in English and then in a code.
