The past tense of ' shine'
The past tense of ' shine' is 'shined' and 'shone'. What's the difference??? Thanks!!

Hi!
Shined is when you polish something to make it shine, example: I shined my shoes. He shined the glass cups.
Shone is when something shines, example: The amethyst shone under the moonlight. I shone the flashlight towards the cave.
