"Sorta" @_@ what does this word mean..when I can chat with ppl online, they tend to use it frequently..and I dont know what exactly they are referring to ...so gimme ur opinions~ thx

'Sorta' is a contraction of 'sort of.' I frequently use 'sorta' to indicate partially somewhat to some extent Urban dictionary (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=sorta) also defines 'sorta' as a euphemism for 'yes.' For example, when in response to "are you busy now?" on instant messenger, "sorta" is usually meant to be a polite way to say "yes, please stop bothering me now." 'Sorta' can mean 'type of' or 'kind,' as in "what sorta candy do you like?" 'Sorta' can also be (mostly) used interchangeably with 'kinda.'

Agree with the previous user, just wanted to add that people should be very careful with these words, they are too much slangish, and it's not polite to use them with everyone you know
