address?!very strange word,so many meaning
The word "address" always puzzle me.I know it can means location.and some time mean a speech.and if there are any other meaning?and which meaning we use the most in our daily life?

Also, it can have another meaning - to 'deal with' something.
For example - 'He addressed the problem and found a solution faster than he expected'.

As a noun it means a specific location. As a verb, it means to speak formally, except when talking about sending something (like a letter) in which case it means to label something with details of a location.
Examples: During my address (verb: to speak formally) to the school I accidentally told them my address (noun: specific location). Later everyone addressed (past tense verb: to label with details of a location) their envelopes to me.

It means to make a formal speech - I was surprised when he addressed me in English; Any questions should be addressed to your teacher. But the most common use of this word is location, details of where somebody lives.
