What does "unfold in your favor" mean in this paragraph?
I have a paragraph as follows:
"To be optimistic means to have positive expectations, and your expectations are your mental predisposition of how you will handle uncertainty. It is about whether you believe the future will unfold in your favor or not, and to be confident with other people, it is best to adopt positive expectations whenever you interact with them"
Can you explain the meaning of "unfold in your favor" in this paragraph? Thank you!

unfold in your favor means to have a positive outcome. Basically if it unfolds in your favor everything turned out well for you despite the circumstances. Hope that helps
