What is the Swedish for word for "neighborhood"? Vad är det svenska ordet för "neighborhood"?
I always see so many different words for "neighborhood" in Swedish. What is the difference between them all? What do they mean? What is slang and what is formal?
Some words I've seen are: grannskap, omgivningar, trakt, närhet, stadsdel
How are each of these words different and how should they be used? Thank you!
Jag alltid ser många olika ord för "neighborhood" på svenska. Vad är skillnaden mellan dem? Vad betyder dem? Vad är informell eller formell?

I think grannskap should be the closest regarding the social aspect. The other ones are more like surroundings, quarter, "nearness" etc. I´m not swedish though. They don´t seem to be around much here, it seems...
