Hi all or hi everybody / everyone ?
I was told " all" cannot be on its own, but my friend says: hi all , when addressing the group of friends .Is it correct then?
Thanks

"Hi all" is not technically correct, but it is somewhat common anyway as an informal greeting.

It's not very proper, but it's a more informal, fun way of greeting a group of friends.
