How do say, "how was your weekend?"
I see my Japanese friend on Monday morning and I always want to say "how was your weekend?" but he doesn't hear me at first and then I have to say it again. I think if I said it in Japanese he would understand it better. I could ask him but I don't like bugging him about these things.

shimple one is 'shu-matsu dou deshita' (週末どうでした)
But if you want to ask what friend was doing on weekend, you can say ' shu-matsu nani shite mashitaka'
(週末 何してましたか)
