i just saw it on other site and dont know whats that mean

an idiom means
you are very interested in something ,spend much time on it ,
but sometimes it's not good for you ,
it makes you don't have any goal or dream in your life~~
for example, a Chinese boy likes playing computer games very much, forgets studying,,then his father will say “你不能再玩物丧志了,多花点时间看看书吧!”
