Been moved or Been moving I have a doubt. I'd like to know why in this text is used "been moved" and not "been moving". Is this a past participle? "...that's the multimedia collection, where you can borrow videos and DVDs and so on, and we also have CD-Roms you can borrow to use on your computer at home. It was originally the art collection but that's been moved to another building. Obrigado!

Yes, it's a past participle. We're using past participle here because it's a PASSIVE construction. The library has moved the art collection to another building = The art collection has been moved to another building.

It has "been moved" means that the moving has already taken place and is done now. If you said "been moving," that would indicate that the action is still taking place.

A: where was it moved to? B:it was moved to another building. OR A: where has it moved to? B: It has been moved to another building.
