How to use "bean curd"and"tofu"???

The two words both mean 豆腐. Most Americans are familiar with "tofu" and use the word "tofu" more often than "bean curd."
Ex: Last year, I learned how to make baked tofu.
Ex: The grocery store sells three different kinds of tofu.
