Are they both ok? I heard a loud noise come/coming from the bushes so I went over to see what it was

I would say coming is the best word to use in this sentence.

Both sound fine. It is a whether the sound is still occurring or not. If the sound is still happening, it should be coming from the bush. Otherwise, it should be you heard a sound come from the bushes.
