Dmitriy
What should I use in my sentences HAS or HAD? Would I be able to use HAS instead of HAD to emphasize the fact that the situation hasn't changed since I saw or asked? 1. I asked my friend five minutes ago about how he (HAS or HAD?) been, and he told me he (HAS or HAD?) been great. 2. I saw earlier today that she (HAS or HAD?) been doing some pretty hard thinking, but that so far she (HAS or HAD?) been unable to formulate any feasible plan for her entrance into active life.
