Look up "second conditional" and you will find the answer easily.
At least you could make a guess - then we can guide you from there.

Hi Noemi,
We would have to ask ourselves how likely this condition will really occur before we decide on the tense to use.
Is there a possibility? Sure, we all face the risk of losing our job. However, the chances are low.
Therefore, this scenario is best described using the Second Conditional.
A second conditional is constructed using simple past tense in the IF CLAUSE and would + verb in the MAIN CLAUSE.
Example: What would you do (Main clause) if you lost (simple past tense) your job (If clause).
Just as a side discussion, if you are very likely to lose your job, it should be written as:
What will I do if I lose my job?(Notice that present tense (lose) and modal verb (will) are used here. This is known as the First Conditional.
Notice that your original sentence includes "would"? This is a clue that the scenario is unlikely.
