How to use "The Merriam-Webster Dictionary"
Ive just brought The Merriam-Webster Daictionary,but I dont know how to use it.
My english is not good enough to get the meaning of the "EXPLANATORY NOTES" of this dictionary.
I hope someone can give me a hand here,plz!

Hello Chyna ,
Maybe you can use simpler dictionaries at your early stages of learning English ,where easier words and definitions are used to explain words .Some simple dictionaries have visual formats to facilitate the explanation .Check that dictionary for beginners for example :
