what does lamb call when we shop the meat of sheep or goat?
I am confused with lamb, goat, ram and sheep.
I have heard many kind of terms of lamb. if i want to ask for question what is lamb meat? is it original of goat or sheep something?

Michela answered the question well. I'd just like to add that we also use "lamb" as the word for 羊肉 in addition to baby sheep. I hope this helps! =)

lamb= a baby sheep
ram= a male sheep
goat is a separate species of animal but is similar. I would google images of each!

The animal - the meat
Lamb - Lamb
Goat - Goat meat
Ram - ( I don't think we ever eat it. I don't know a word for it )
Sheep - (is complicated)
For sheep meat, it depends on the age of the animal. In increasing age, the meat is lamb, hogget, mutton.
I don't know the exact ages - perhaps hogget is between 1 and 2 years old?
