First, it means parachute.
Secondly, As you mentioned, it could mean a son of CEO.
But, It usually means new guy at work who are familiar with a worker at high position and got some help from him or her.

낙하산 is like nepotism which means when an official unfairy gives advanages to his or her relatives. ^^
