They are almost synonymous. Encase though, suggests something fitting tightly around the subject. Encompass suggests something included within a specified circumference or idea (the metropolitan area encompasses 32 Boroughs) Enclose can cover a wide variety of one thing inside another (I enclose a stamped addressed envelope,;the paddock encloses 30 sheep;
