Is there any good way to say this? (Japanese to English) 何か良い英語の表現はありますか。
Hello. I have a question. It is a science question (chemistry). If you could answer them, it would be appreciated, thanks.
Is there any good way to say
物質の融点、沸点は(その物質によって)決まっている。(It kind of means 'the melting points and boiling points of each substance are determined)
I know the word 'determined' and I used them a couple of times already. I searched on thesaurus but I couldn't find good words.
Thanks.

I think your translator may not be quite correct - this is what I got.
"The melting point and boiling point of the substance are determined (depending on the substance)."
Here 'determined' would be similar to 'worked out' or 'calculated'
Hope this helps
