What is the word for the act of cataloguing things.
What is the word for the act of cataloguing things. In spanish is catalogación, but catalogation is not in the dictionory. Somebody help me? thanks

Catalogation is not an option.
I think there could be be a few possibilities depending on the context. I agree with Suzi, I would say cataloging, but an example in Spanish would be more useful. Depending on context, you could also see variations like listing, categorizing, classification, documenting.
I normally use linguee.es or spanishdict.com to find examples of usage. They pull examples of usage from translations on the web which can be very helpful.
